We know how awkward it can be when visiting a church for the first time. Whether you know someone that regularly attends the church or not, there’s that initial feeling of uncertainty and nervousness that comes with being in an unfamiliar atmosphere and not completely knowing what to expect. While we may not be able to help you fully conquer the initial nervousness you might experience when you first walk through our doors, we hope to lighten the anxiousness that you may feel when attending our service. We have written a brief explanation of who we are and what you can expect from us. If you have never visited our church, please read the information below.
When does service begin?
Our services begin at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings. Our mid-week service on Wednesday Night begins at 7:00 pm.
What kind of church is Eagle Heights?
Eagle Heights Community Church is an inter-denominational church. In other words, our members come from various denominational backgrounds – some Catholic, some Baptists, some Methodists, and so on. Though our members have roots in different denominations, they all come together under the banner of Christ – His sacrifice for us on the cross, His resurrection from the grave, our salvation in Him alone, and the love of God that unites us all as believers. We refuse to let denominational differences hinder us from collectively seeking the will of God, loving Him, and loving one another.
Who is the pastor?
Kevin Dunn is the senior pastor. Pastor Kevin seeks to bring a timely message from God’s Word that will challenge you and strengthen you in your walk with the Lord.
What is the Pastor’s preaching style like?
Pastor Kevin’s preaching is passionate and engaging. Never monotone, always inflective, Pastor Kevin challenges you to be more than a hearer of the word, but to be a doer of the word.
What about my children?
If you have children between the ages of 0-12 years, you can rest assured that they will be well taken care of. All of our Nursery and Children’s Ministry workers have undergone background checks and have been thoroughly screened.
Children 0-3 years of age: Our facilities are clean, our nursery workers love being with children, and they are very capable of watching after your very precious gift from God while you enjoy our service.
Children 4-12: Your kids will love our children’s ministry and you will too. They’ll not only praise and worship and learn the Word of God, but they’ll have fun doing it. Our children’s ministry is divided into two age groups, 4-7 years olds and 8-12 year olds.
What about worship?
We have a full worship band, highly equipped and extremely gifted. Our worship style is modern, ranging from exuberant celebratory songs to softer more reflective ballads.
Is there security at the church?
You can also rest assured in knowing that during our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services we have two on-duty police officers watching our parking lot, ushers stationed in the foyer of our main sanctuary, and in front of our children’s and nursery buildings, plain clothes security, as well as security cameras.
